Trans-Web supports Steve's Team Hill Charitable Trust in their mission to ‘Make a Difference’

Leading manufacturer of lifting systems, lashings and height safety equipment, Trans-Web, have extended their support for Team Hill Charitable Trust for the fifth year running.

The Oldham-based company has been supporting Team Hill since December 2019 when the charity was founded by Steve Hill MBE.

Team Hill supports local causes and sustainable projects in Uganda, providing homes, healthcare and education for children and young people.

“Steve taught my son and daughter at primary school, so when I heard about his charity, I wanted to help make a difference and hosted a charity raffle. Since then, we’ve continued to support Steve and his remarkable charity,” said Lee Wrigley, Director of Trans-Web.

Steve is a primary school teacher ‘with a difference’.

Since the foundation of Team Hill, he has raised over £100,000 for good causes in Uganda by taking on immense challenges across the globe.

Over the last five years, Steve has climbed one of the highest mountains in the world and has run marathons in some of the most extreme climates, including Mount Everest, the North Pole, the Amazon Jungle and the Arctic.

In 2023, Steve ran 14 marathons in 16 days, by running seven marathons coast-to-coast across Costa Rica, followed by seven marathons across Tajikistan through the Bartang Valley.

Steve said: "Trans-Web has been a great supporter of Team Hill since we first began.

"Lee is always generous and willing to help us in any way he can. We’re incredibly grateful for his and Trans-Web’s support over the last five years."

Trans-Web actively support Team Hill by sponsoring several of their fundraising events, including their highly popular charity race nights.

They also offer warehouse space for storing large items for fundraising events and place loose change boxes on desks to encourage staff contributions.

This August, Steve is travelling to Mongolia to run five marathons through the Gobi Desert before heading straight to Guatemala to climb the five highest mountains in Central America.
