Five charged as police step up Oldham drug offences probe

Five men have been charged in connection with an investigation into drug offences in Oldham.
The group have all have been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Shazidur Rahman (aged 27), of Garforth Street, has also been charged with possession of criminal property and possession of cannabis.
Ridwan Ahmed (24), of Eustace Street, has also been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possession of MDMA, cannabis and a firearm.
Anward Ali (39), of Stanley Street, has also been charged with possession of heroin.
Jason Wakeford (51), of Stanley Street, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Jamal Ali (21), of Bamford Street, has also been charged.
They were all remanded into custody and were set to appear at Tameside Magistrates yesterday (Friday).
These charges are in connection with an ongoing investigation by Greater Manchester Police's dedicated county lines team into drug supply in the Oldham area.
