Rangers' tour of a lifetime to Jamaica moves a big step closer

Date published: 20 May 2024

A collection of full touring kit, training kit, leisurewear and backpacks has been presented to the Saddleworth Rangers under-15s rugby league team ahead of their tour of a lifetime to Jamaica at the end of this month.

A full year of fundraising efforts has made this happen.

Equipment such as rugby balls, cones and ladders have all been manufactured and labelled with sponsors' logos on, which will subsequently be handed over to Jamaican schools.

Also, Rangers' under-12s team have donated last year's kit for the younger teams in Jamaica.

The Rangers coaches joining the team on their tour will be Emmerson Jackman, Johnny Johnson, Craig Brindley and Paul Ashworth, while Chair and Deputy Jane Talbot and Vicky Jackman have been instrumental in organising the trip.
