Date published: 02 May 2024
The May 28 event will connect Oldham’s voluntary organisations and the general public, and will highlight the incredible contribution volunteers make to the Oldham borough
Action Together has announced the return of its fantastic Volunteer Fair, which will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 10am-3pm, along Albion Street / Curzon Street in Oldham town centre.
Members of the community are invited to join and find out about the diverse volunteering opportunities available in Oldham, as there is surely going to be something for everyone.
This event connects Oldham’s voluntary organisations and the general public, and will highlight the incredible contribution volunteers make to the Oldham borough.
Josie Bades, Volunteering Development Co-Ordinator at Action Together, said: “Volunteers make a huge contribution to the local community every day, and without them organisations would not be able to deliver their vital services to the people of Oldham.
"Following the success of last year’s Volunteering Fair we are excited to bring another event to the town centre, involving more organisations and getting more people involved in volunteering.”
"Our Volunteering Fair provides an opportunity for the general public to meet with numerous different organisations in one place, all of whom are looking for new volunteers to join their team.
"Volunteering is a great way to build confidence, learn new skills, meet new people, and to make a positive difference within your local community.
"For those interested in finding out more about volunteering and the many different roles available we would love to see you at our Volunteering Fair.”
