Greater Manchester Police officers are appealing for information regarding the identity of a man they would like to speak to following reports that an elderly man was robbed on Moston Lane in nearby Moston yesterday morning (Saturday), at around 10:20am.
It’s believed that an 80-year-old man was withdrawing money, when he was approached by a man who stole it.
PC Kelly, from GMP North Manchester, said: “This is an unacceptable crime that has been committed against an elderly man, and we are working tirelessly to find who is responsible.
"Our victim has understandably been left quite shaken by this incident, and we will continue to support him and his family throughout.
“We have dedicated officers in the area conducting checks, and we are following several lines of enquiry, but we would like to appeal to the public to assist us.
“We believe the man pictured may have important information and we urge him - or anyone who can identify him - to get in touch with our investigation team."
