A Greater Manchester Police speeding operation took place yesterday (Friday) on Rochdale Road in Denshaw, Wall Hill Road in Dobcross, Mossley Road in Grasscroft and Huddersfield Road in Lees.
A post on GMP's Saddleworth & Lees Facebook page went on to read: "This operation continues our efforts to make the roads of Saddleworth and Lees a safer place.
"It also demonstrates we are listening to the concerns of the community, and we are taking action based on what we are being told.
"This comes ahead of our Community Speed Watch scheme, which is in its recruitment phase.
"This scheme will see police and residents team up to show motorists who take advantage of our roads that their actions will not be tolerated.
"Operations like the one we have carried out today helps to make the roads safer.
"We will continue to engage with road users to educate on how our roads should be used in a safe manner, carrying out prosecutions of motorists who fail to do so."
