Latics are giving supporters a chance to watch the upcoming home game against Kidderminster Harriers for just £1 - in order to give chairman Frank Rothwell a very special welcome back to his home town.
Ticket prices have been slashed in a bid to pack out Boundary Park to create a memorable homecoming for the chairman and back the team in a crucial fixture on Saturday, February 24 (kick-off 3pm).
Frank has been away since the start of December and is now in the final stages of his solo row across the Atlantic Ocean as he raises funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Having faced some hugely difficult conditions during his journey and capsized three times, he has shown tremendous strength and courage to reach this stage.
Frank is already the oldest person to ever row across the ocean on their own and he is on course to beat that record.
The club is very proud of Frank and wants to fill Boundary Park to give him a hero’s return for his first home game back.
It is also a very important game for Micky Mellon’s Latics in the quest for a place in the National League play-offs.
Get your £1 match ticket online here now.
Tickets are also available by visiting Latics’ ticket office at the front of the Main Stand off Furtherwood Road.
The club will be donating all gate receipts from the fixture to Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Although admission is just £1, there is the option to make a further donation to Frank’s fundraising campaign when completing your purchase and we’re encouraging all supporters to give as much as they can.
The game is all-ticket with no option to pay at the turnstiles.
Please note that all under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.
Donations can also be made by visiting Frank’s JustGiving page here
