An Oldham Licensing Officer has been working together with partners in Oldham Council's Licensing and Community Safety offices to secure funding for drink spiking prevention measures.
A post on the Greater Manchester Police Oldham Central Facebook page read: "Packs were put together in readiness for the festive period and were delivered to licensed premises around the Borough, particularly focusing on town centre areas which are likely to be the busiest during this period.
"We hope that this proactive work can be continued by the licensees with additional anti-spiking measures purchased through their businesses in the future.
"The aim is to prevent spiking incidents and assist licensed premises to keep customers safe."
Pc Addison has paid visits to the below premises and issued the spiking kits:
Royton - Railway Hotel, Barclay, Gin and Juice, Hope and Anchor, Arumba, White Hart, Rumours and the Greyhound Inn.
Shaw - Shay Wake, Coach & Horses and Pineapple Inn.
Chadderton - Colliers Arms and Sportsman.
Lees - Milan and Red Lion.
Uppermill - Muse, Waggon, Granby, Hare & Hounds, Commie and the Railway.
Waterhead - Lowerhouse Inn, Junction Inn and Bear on the Hill.
Failsworth - Church Inn, Windmill, Eight Bells, La Fardy and Angler Arms.
