Police officers have appealed for information following an attempted robbery in Oldham town centre.

At around 1:20pm on Tuesday, November 28, Greater Manchester Police were called to the car park of TK Maxx and Sainsbury’s on Union Street in Oldham, to reports of an attempted robbery.

It’s believed that the victim, a 79-year-old woman, was exiting her vehicle with her partner when a man grabbed her bag, causing her to fall to the floor.
