The Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were delighted to be joined by the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, Mrs Mary-Liz Walker JP DL.
She was shown around the team's base, exploring what they do, their capabilities and equipment.
Volunteers later admitted it was great to hear about the High Sheriff's experiences of other emergency services and how she helps organisations and charities in the county.
