It's time to nominate a health, social care or wellbeing worker for the People’s Choice Awards 2023

Healthwatch Oldham helps to provide an independent consumer focus for local people using NHS and social care services in the town
Healthwatch Oldham has announced the return of The People’s Choice Awards, an opportunity to celebrate the hard work that people throughout all health, social care and wellbeing services have delivered to the people of Oldham during 2023.
Oldham residents are asked to nominate individuals they feel have provided them with an excellent service, going above the call of duty and deserve recognition for their hard work.
Tamoor Tariq, Healthwatch Oldham Manager, said: “We are delighted to bring back The People’s Choice Awards.
"As the champion of patient voice and patient experience in Oldham, we would like to encourage local people to think of worthy people who deserve to be recognised for their contribution to community’s health and care system.
"We look forward to receiving nominations from Oldham residents and will be announcing winners in early 2024.”
Nominations can be submitted if the nominee fits into one of the following categories:
Health
This could be a health professional who has helped you.
Such as a GP, Nurse, Pharmacist, Consultant and/or Surgeon.
Social Care
This could be someone who has helped you in a professional capacity within the community.
Such as a care worker, personal assistant, social worker, community support and outreach worker and/or an occupational therapist.
Wellbeing
This could be a person, project, or a service that has supported you or a loved one to improve your health and wellbeing.
It can be any aspect of health and wellbeing such as mental health, physical health, emotional health, and nutritional health.
Examples include; someone who runs local exercise or physical activity sessions, a local community service which provides help and support and a friendly and social atmosphere, someone who has supported you to access support to improve your health and wellbeing or someone who has helped you to make lifestyle changes.
Please note; if you are unsure which category your submission falls under, you are still welcome to make a submission and Healthwatch Oldham can decide.
Submissions for the People’s Choice Award 2023 must be submitted via email to: info@healthwatcholdham.co.uk and include the name of the nominee and reason for nomination.
Nominations will be open until Friday, January 5, 2024.
