Local singer/songwriter Ian set to release his Christmas single, with funds raised going to Dr Kershaw’s

Date published: 17 November 2023

Lees-based singer/songwriter, Ian F Ball, is set to release his new single "Christmas Eve (1968) in time for the festive period, with all monies raised from streaming and downloads going to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Royton.

Christmas Eve (1968) is a simple reminiscence based on Ian’s childhood memories of Christmas as a child, growing up in South Manchester.

They include paper decorations pinned across the room, Nana and Grandad visiting for the day, simple treats and surprises, the family watching black and white television.

It's all quite different from today’s data-fuelled extravaganza!

The release date is set for this Sunday, November 19, to coincide with Dr Kershaw’s Christmas Fayre, where Ian will be performing his song live, after which it will be available to stream and download from all major platforms.

Ian will also be performing his song at Dr Kershaw’s Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 14.

All monies raised from streaming or downloading this song will be donated to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham.
