Man sought following inappropriate behaviour on tram

An appeal for information has been issued by police officers following incidents of inappropriate behaviour on a tram.

Greater Manchester Police officers are appealing following an incident that occurred at around 6:30pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 on a tram near to Queens Road, Manchester.

Officers received reports that a man had behaved inappropriately on the tram, causing upset to a number of female passengers.

Enquiries are currently ongoing and officers have now released a photo of a man (above) who they would like to speak to, as they believe he may be able to help with their enquiries.

Inspector Stephen Griffin, from Greater Manchester Police's Transport Unit, said: "Passengers should be able to feel safe when travelling on public transport.

"This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

"If you were present and have not yet spoken with police or can assist with details of the male in the picture, I would ask you to please contact us with any information you may have."
