Police issue witness appeal after man is slashed during Yorkshire Street assault

Police officers have charged and remanded a woman in connection with this incident
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a man was attacked over the weekend in Oldham town centre.
At around 4.20am yesterday (Sunday), police were called assist colleagues in the ambulance service after they were called to reports of an assault on Yorkshire Street in Oldham.
Officers attended and it was established that a man in his 20s suffered superficial slash injuries to his face, neck and ear, he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers charged and remanded a woman in connection with this incident, but are still appealing for information.
Katherine Pye (aged 40) of Dickens Street in Oldham, has been charged with a section 18 assault.
She will appear at Tameside Magistrates court today (Monday).
Detective Sergeant Kate Dawson said: “Our investigation is far from over.
"As officers continue to carry out extensive enquiries, we are still appealing to members of the public who witnessed this incident or was in the area at the time to pass any information which could assist us to share it."
