Delighted organisers of the legendary Saddleworth Santa Dash say there has been a bumper entry for this year's family-fun event so far.

The first wave of tickets, which went on sale Saturday, September 8, sold out in a week.

In all, 1,800 participants are expected to take part in the Dash which is staged from midday on Saturday, December 2, in King George V park and car park in the centre of Uppermill.

Now, the second wave of tickets have been launched at £17.50 for adults and £6 for children, with the cost  including registration, suit, hat, dash number and finishers medal.

Meanwhile, the legendary charity Trojans have introduced a novel new initiative for the 2023’s Dash:

If you are part of a local club / organisation needing funding for new ventures, Round Table are urging you to enter  a team in the Dash as a way of achieving extra valuable funding.

Table are seeking FOUR club partners for this year's family-fun event with the mission to encourage clubs to put forward a team of between 30 and 100 entrants.

And Table promise to return at least 50 percent cent of the ticket price back to the respective club after the Dash itself.

As an added bonus, a representative from each club will be invited to a special funding meeting in January or February next year where they can request further funding for a particular initiative.

Round Table would welcome a GoFundMe page for each of the clubs to invite sponsorship of the participants to this years event.

If you have a club that would like to enter a team into this year's Santa Dash, contact Round Table via their Facebook page or speak with Andy Rothwell directly on: 07882 140010.
