Well-known local estate agent Alan Kirkham has once again rekindled his passion for music and football by releasing his band's latest original new song - 'Come on you Lionesses' - to coincide with the 2023 Women's World Cup showpiece.
Alan has always been a huge fan of music and football, and so he and his pals put together a band last year - 'Boundary Park Life'.
They released a charity single last year ahead of the men's tournament in Qatar - 'Let's Bring the World Cup home' - in a bid to raise much-needed funds for head trauma charity, Head for Change.
Head for Change is a start up charitable foundation, pioneering positive change for brain health in sport and supporting ex-players who are affected by neurodegenerative disease as a result of their professional sporting career in football or rugby.
Alan said: "My singing might not be perfect on this latest single, but I think the lyrics, chorus and jokes on there are good!
"After Harry Kane missed that penalty last year in Qatar and blew our chance of a Christmas number one, we thought we'd support our women's team now.
"At the end of the day, we're hoping to raise some much-needed funds for a very worthy charity."
England's women - the current European champions - get their World Cup tournament tilt under way tomorrow morning (Saturday) with a group stage match against Haiti (10.30am kick-off).
