Swansway Motor Group have surpassed £100,000 in donations to the non-profit organisation Circus Starr.
The milestone donation comes in the seventh year of the partnership between the car dealer group and Circus Starr, with the most recent donation made on behalf of their Swansway Honda Bolton, Swansway Honda Stockport, Oldham Volkswagen and Volkswagen Van Centre Oldham retailers, taking them over this landmark total.
Swansway Motor Group have been raising money through the sale of Motability vehicles, donating £25 per vehicle sold to cover the cost of a ticket for a child and their carer to attend a Circus Starr show.
To raise £100,000, Swansway Motor Group have sold over 5,000 Motability vehicles since 2016.
This is the first time that an organisation supporting Circus Starr has reached £100,000 in donations.
The two parties celebrated this milestone achievement together at a Circus Starr show.
It was a wonderful event with members from Swansway Head Office, including Swansway Motor Group Director David Smyth in attendance.
The Swansway family dealer group was founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and is now run by him and his three sons; David, Peter and John.
Sarah Hall, Communications and Engagement Manager at Circus Starr, said: “We are overwhelmed at the support we have received from Swansway Motor Group over the last seven years.
"To reach such a milestone figure in their donations is something we have never experienced before and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
"It has been brilliant to celebrate with the Swansway team across the country, we’ve loved having their team at our shows."
Swansway Motor Group Director David Smyth added: “It’s our pleasure to reach the £100,000 donation mark with Circus Starr and it’s been wonderful to celebrate this milestone achievement together.
"Over the last few weeks, many of our team members have been able to see first-hand the importance of Circus Starr’s work.”
