Cyclist in critical condition following Middleton Road collision

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following a serious collision on Middleton Road in Chadderton last night (Sunday).

At around 8.20pm yesterday evening, officers were called to reports that a motor vehicle collided with a pedal cyclist.

Officers and colleagues from North West Ambulance Service attended and took the injured pedal cyclist, a 27-year-old man, to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

He has serious injuries which are believed at this time to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made and the driver of the motor vehicle is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are now appealing for people who may have seen anything, or anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage, to please get in touch.
