The National Unity Football Tournament is to be held this Sunday (June 11) at the Crossley playing fields in Chadderton
The National Unity Football Tournament (NUFT) is back in Oldham again this year.
Over 30 teams from all across the UK have already registered, including from Luton, Birmingham, Scunthorpe and many more.
The event is to be held this Sunday (June 11) at the Crossley playing fields in Chadderton.
NUFT is a seven-a-side football tournament with two categories - one for over forties and one open age.
Last year, over £24,000 was raised for the poor and needy and this year, organisers aim to beat that record.
With all funds going towards building homes for those in need in Syria, there's no better way to have fun and make a positive impact on the world.
The biggest tournament of its kind in the North West, NUFT is open to all communities and all backgrounds.
You can expect to meet a range of people and make new friends, all while enjoying a fun-filled day with plenty of food, drink, and a delicious barbecue.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: "We used our own money for buying trophies and renting out the field and other costs.
"All the money raised will be used solely for charity, as we won’t take a single penny.
“The tournament starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm, depending on when all the teams arrive.
"But be sure to get there early to secure a spot as we're expecting guests from all over, including London.
“Come out and show your support for NUFT.
"Let's make this year the best yet - sign up today and join us for a day of fun, competition, and giving back to those in need.”
