Citizens Advice group offer free Google thermostat and energy advice as part of new project

Successful applicants could save up to 10% on their central heating costs and reduce their carbon footprints with this exciting opportunity
The Citizens Advice service in Oldham, Stockport, Rochdale and Trafford is offering up to 400 homes across those areas the opportunity to take part in a new exciting project where people can receive bespoke energy advice and a free Google Nest Pro 3rd generation thermostat fitted by Nest Pro installer.
As part of the project, the energy team at charity aims to provide energy advice to improve energy efficiency in the home and reduce energy costs over the next 12 months by working closely with successful applicants.
Successful applicants could save up to 10% on their central heating costs and reduce their carbon footprints with this exciting opportunity.
Who are Citizens Advice Oldham, Stockport, Rochdale and Trafford looking for?
People/families in need due to the current energy crisis
Applicants will need to be homeowners or renting privately*
Applicants have to have wifi available in their home
*Those in rented accommodation may need to seek permission from their landlords before taking part in the project.
Those who are interested will need to fill in our online registration form for the chance to take part.

Steve Hughes, Chief Operating Officer of the charity, said: "We’re excited to announce our new energy advice Google nest project that could save people up to 10% on their energy consumption and put much needed money back in their pockets.
"Energy prices are continuing to soar so we’re pleased to have received funding from Energy Redress Scheme to help people manage their consumption better
"Our energy team will be working with successful applicants, providing tailored advice and support from the moment they get their Google Nest Pro 3rd generation thermostat fitted by Nest Pro Installer, and over the course of 12 months
"We will be assessing the impact of smart thermostats on energy costs and energy habits and compile a report at the end of the year."
The charity is encouraging people to fill in an application form to apply.
