Key members of the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team attended the retirement party for Andy Hodgkiss at Woodend MOT centre.
An OMRT spokesperson said: "Andy has been a great supporter of the team over the years - helping to keep our vehicles on the road.
"We wish Andy all the best in retirement and also wish Jody Bevan, the new owner of Woodend MOT Centre, the best of luck."
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation whose objective is “to save life and alleviate distress, primarily in upland and mountain areas” without cost or obligation.
The team of 50-plus volunteers provide a professional rescue service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
They are funded almost entirely by generous public donations and support from local businesses such as Andy / Woodend.
