Oldhamers are being invited to join one of the UK’s leading social media pioneers, Ryan Williams, at the next Mahdlo Youth Zone Business Breakfast on Wednesday, April 19 (8:30am-10:30am).
Hailing from Chadderton, Ryan is the co-founder and former co-owner of KOMI Group, a social media and marketing agency.
Hear him talk about his education, early career and experience of founding KOMI which he helped to build from nothing into a multimillion-pound agency with over 80 employees in six years.
Ryan said: “I'm really passionate about helping young people.
"I hope going forward I can help unlock a whole new generation of entrepreneurs and help people achieve the career goals they really want.
"When I got the offer to work with Mahdlo it was a no brainer.
"Being born and raised in Oldham, it's a fantastic service and I'm looking forward to giving something back."
Claire Crossfield from Mahdlo said: “Mahdlo has recently partnered with Ryan to provide more opportunities to inspire Oldham’s young people.
"I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with him a few times, and his passion, drive and enthusiasm, is infectious.
"We’re really looking forward to hearing from him at the event, and as well as businesses attending are again opening the event up to students from schools and colleges”
Sponsored by MID Group, comprising of Virgin Media O2 Franchise MID Communications and MID Digital Solutions, the event is the latest in a series of business get-togethers hosted by Mahdlo each year.
MID Group CEO Danny Simpson said: "We are always proud to support Mahdlo and have done for a number of years.
"The charity makes such an impact on the local community to give the young people a real hand up in life, which is so essential.
"I wish more towns had a Youth Zone like Mahdlo.”
The event is open to all and is FREE to attend - however, advance booking is essential.
Refreshments are provided and those wanting to attend can book online by visiting: www.mahdloyz.org/events
