Two talented young fighters from Oldham's Isaan Gym returned home from a prestigious Muay Thai tournament in Thailand with dream gold medals.
Tommy Lowe, who is 16 and from Waterhead, and Brayden Watson, who is also 16 and from Derker, jetted out to Thailand earlier this month to take part in the WMF (World Muay Thai Federation) Championships in Bangkok to represent Team England.
There was 18 countries represented at the Championships.
Tommy and Brayden faced tough fighters from Brazil, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, before reaching their respective finals to win gold medals in the -60kg and -67kg categories.
Tommy took a points win in the final against a hard-punching Brazilian as he put on a master class to take the gold.
Brayden triumphed in dramatic fashion.
Following a tough fight, he won via knockout in round thre thanks to a solid knee to the head.
Isaan Gym head coach Ste Donnelly said: "This trip has been organised by promoter Pete Spensley who is the man behind Supershow and a pioneer for junior UK Muay Thai.
"The trip was a chance of a lifetime for Tommy and Brayden, who have both been training since the age of seven years old.
"To go and win gold medals in Bangkok at the WMF is a dream come true for both lads and myself as a coach, and I’m extremely proud of them both."
