Mahdlo's Three Peaks challenge is back!

Date published: 17 March 2023

Grab your diaries, walking boots and rucksacks and get ready for Saturday, July 1, as that’s when Mahdlo's ever-popular original Three Peaks of Saddleworth challenge will be returning for the seventh year.

Since its inception in 2017, the event has raised more than £70,000 for Mahdlo Youth Zone and has created countless opportunities and provided life-changing support for Oldham’s young people and their families.

Claire Crossfield, Fundraising Manager at Mahdlo, said: "We would love to see even more people walking again this year, and as always, your four-legged friends are welcome too.

"For the very first time in its history, we're also mixing things up.

"But don’t panic, it’s the same route, the same team looking after you, the same yummy food, the same amazing company the only thing we cannot guarantee is the weather. So what’s the difference?

"We know how challenging it is for charities to raise funds at the moment, so to do our bit to help, we’re opening up the ‘Original Three Peaks of Saddleworth’ to other charities for their supporters to take part and raise funds for their causes too."

Early bird registration is now open.

Obviously, the Youth Zone like you to raise funds for Mahdlo, but if there’s another cause that’s close to your heart or you simply want to walk and not raise money at all, there’s an option for everyone.

· It's £30 to walk and raise funds for Mahdlo.

· £40 to walk and raise funds for another charity, rising to £45 after April 1

· £40 just to walk, rising to £45 after April 1
