Facelift planned for Butler Green post office

The Butler Green branch will be temporarily closed from April 13 and it is due to re-open on Thursday, May 4

There are plans to modernise the Post Office and store at Butler Green in Chadderton with a refit next month.

The branch will be temporarily closed from April 13 at 5.30pm and it is due to re-open on Thursday, May 4 at 1pm.

During the interim alternative branches will include:

· Oxford Street Post Office, 73 Oxford Street, Oldham, OL9 7SL

· Hollins Road Post Office, 730 Hollins Road, Oldham, OL8 4SA

· Lee Street Post Office, 67 Lee Street, Oldham, OL8 1EG

Butler Green Post Office will become a new-style local Post Office with an open-plan counter alongside the retail counter.

The opening hours will remain as Monday to Friday: 9am-5.30pm; Saturday: 9-12.30pm
