Chadderton girl Evie Duffy has secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2023 Miss Teen Great Britain competition.
Twelve-year-old Evie, a pupil at North Chadderton High School, has beaten off competition from across the country to be named as one of the semi-finalists.
Her interests are dancing and football.
She plays as a striker for Milnrow Dynamos under-12s Sapphires.
Evie has a passion for football and has been playing since she was six years old.
She hopes to promote some of the stigma surrounding girls football.
She attends a local dance group too - Dance Infusions - she has been dancing since she was three years old.
Proud mum Donna said: "Evie became interested in the pageant after her auntie had competed in Miss Galaxy a couple of years back.
"A photographer at her wedding actually mentioned that she would be a good contender, so Evie decided she wanted to enter this year.
"She's hoping to inspire other girls to get involved.
"I am very proud that Evie has gained the confidence to do this - it's a great opportunity for her.
"Evie will also be raising money for the charity Together for Short Lives through a number of sporting events that we have planned this year.
"Fingers crossed she makes it to the finals."
Evie said: "I am so excited to have made it to the semi finals.
"Making it to the grand final will be a dream come true - fingers crossed I will be able to represent my home town and all the football girls out there and win the Miss Teen Great Britain crown."
Teenagers from across the country will compete for the Miss Teen crown in a spectacular grand final.
The winner will walk away with some incredible prizes - including a cash prize.
The grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain will be held later in 2023 in Blackpool.
