GMP - It's time to have your say on preventing abuse of power

The Angiolini Inquiry was established in late 2021
Greater Manchester Police chiefs are encouraging members of the public to have their say on preventing abuse of power and improve safety of women and girls.
The Angiolini Inquiry was established in late 2021 following the abduction, serious sexual assault, and murder of Sarah Everard by an off-duty Metropolitan police officer.
The inquiry’s Chair has launched a public consultation to obtain views on the Terms of Reference for Part 2, which will look at the broader issues arising from the case and the safety of women and girls in public.
Head of GMP’s Professional Standards Branch, Detective Chief Superintendent Michael Allen, said: “The Angiolini Inquiry is paramount – policing by consent depends heavily on public trust and confidence.
"I have no doubt that the Chair will make recommendations relating to policing which will be of great benefit to all communities, including those in Greater Manchester.”
The survey closes at 12pm on Friday, February 24, 2023.
