Driver dies after car collided with bollard

Two males who were in the car, aged 24 and 30, have now been released from hospital following the accident on Sunday, December 4.
The driver of a vehicle which collided with a bollard on Chancellor Lane in Ardwick - a 23-year-old male - has passed away as a result of his injuries.
Specialist officers have been deployed to support his family at this devastating time.
Two males who were in the car, aged 24 and 30, have now been released from hospital following the accident on Sunday, December 4.
Their injuries are not thought to be life changing.
At this moment in time no arrests have been made.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are further appealing for anyone who may have seen the accident during the early hours to get in touch to help their investigation.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to and before the collision took place.
