Man sought after brutal attack left victim with multiple injuries

Police are appealing for information following an assault of a man in Rochdale town centre.

GMP are investigating an incident that took place last Monday (December 5, 2022) at around 1:30am on Packer Street in Rochdale.

It is believed that a man in his 30s has been assaulted by an unknown male.

The victim suffered a fractured cheek bone, a fractured eye socket, a damaged eye nerve, and multiple cuts to the face which he is likely to need further medical treatment for.

Officers investigating this incident have followed up on a number of lines of enquiry and are now in a position to ask for the public's assistance.

GMP would like to speak to the man pictured below as they believe he could assist with enquires.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time or who may have witnessed the incident.
