The adorable Delph elf is awake once more

An adorable elf who captured a community’s heart woke up on Saturday… to face the music.

The beautifully crafted elf was ‘adopted’ by scores of villagers and passers-by in the prelude to the Delph Christmas lights switch on.

He was the centrepiece of a window display, hand made by Adele Furlong for the Delph Wake Up Community.

After being tucked up in bed asleep, the Delph Elf finally awoke to see Santa and the Christmas lights.

Adele has 35 years experience and started Furlong Sewing Services 22 years ago.

The shop, currently located on Huddersfield Road in Oldham, is moving to Delph early in the New Year.
