Ready, get set… more than 1,400 Santas of all ages and abilities will be taking part in Saddleworth Round Table’s legendary Santa Dash tomorrow (Saturday).
The happy-go-lucky launch entrants head out on their fabled 2km and 5km routes from 2pm tomorrow, from Uppermill.
And their efforts will hugely help the Table’s funding of local good causes, events and charities going into 2023, at a time when more people may need that extra bit of help and support.
This year, adults have paid £15 and children £5 to join the fun.
The hot ticket gets a full Santa suit for adults and distinctive hats for children, plus running numbers and a much-prized finishers medal.
The race is backed by festivities in Uppermill park with stalls, food vendors and mulled wine at the bar from 12pm.
Santa will be making an appearance around 4pm to help light up Uppermill High Street during the parade, and the sparkling event will end with a dazzling fireworks display.
