The 'Delph Elf' is causing quite a stir

This captivating picture of a sleeping elf in a beautifully decorated window in Delph has brought praise from locals.

Adele Furlong, a resident who has only lived in Delph for a relatively short time, gets heavily involved in various themes throughout the year and decorates her High Street window to display various settings.

This year she has worked alongside Delph Wakeup Community to display a "Delph Elf's" bedroom, where he will reside until he wakes up on December 3 to assist in turning on the Christmas lights.

One local said: ”The display looks fantastic and I am sure every child (and adult) who is passing by the window will get an enormous amount of cheer and happiness from all the things that are going on within the room."

Adele ensures the lights are switched on from around 4-10 pm every night.

Another resident said: ”Adele goes above and beyond to spread cheer within the village.”
