Man charged with multiple town centre theft offences

A man from Glodwick has been charged with numerous thefts from stores in Oldham town centre.

Nyle Cregan, aged 20 and from Glodwick, has been arrested and charged with seven offences of theft in total.

Cregan committed two thefts at Savers and five thefts offences at Boots in Oldham town centre.

Elsewhere, a local PCSO located a stolen vehicle on Poppy Road in Oldham.

The vehicle has now been recovered.

Meanwhile, a man from Droylsden has been charged after a vehicle stop in Oldham.

Fabio Moreno-Portulez (aged 25), of Windsor Road in Droylsden, has been charged with driving over the prescribed limit (alcohol), driving without a licence, driving without insurance and criminal damage.

When stopped, the driver blew 95 at the roadside (the legal limit for alcohol is 35) and criminal damage to the police vehicle followed.

Moreno-Portulez will appear before Tameside Magistrates on January 12, 2023.
