The council are in the process of replacing all the bins in Crompton that are emptied by the its Street Scene departments, for new bigger bins
Crompton Liberal Democrat Councillor, Diane Williamson, and her two Crompton colleagues, Councillors Louie Hamblett and Dave Murphy, have addressed concerns from local residents regarding bins being removed from a number of areas across the ward.
“Currently, the council are in the process of replacing all the bins that are emptied by its Street Scene departments, for new bigger bins,” said Cllr Hamblett.
Cllr Murphy added: "The bins started being replaced on October 14 and this will continue until the whole of Crompton has larger bins that can be emptied like the household waste bins.”
Councillors urge residents not to worry; these new bins can take more waste and may have been moved slightly.
The Crompton Councillors have worked with the street cleansing team to make sure that all of the new bins are in better positions.
If there are any problems with locations, the councillors have requested that residents contact them.
