Oldham's Christmas toy appeal gets underway

The launch of the Toy Appeal in 2021
Oldham's Christmas toy appeal, which has helped brighten the lives of families across the town is returning for another year of festive cheer.
We've teamed up with Thrive Wellness (formerly Oldham Chiropractic), Mahdlo Youth Zone, and Oldham Athletic Community Fund to collect as many presents as we can over the next few weeks for Oldham kids who are facing a tough festive period.
Thrive Wellness have been working with Mahdlo for three years, and they plan to collect presents again this year on December 8, in lieu of appointment fees. They'll then be handed to the dedicated volunteers at Mahdlo for distribution around the town.
Oldham Athletic Community Fund will be collecting toys at Boundary Park on Sunday 11th December at the home game against Torquay United. There will be collection points at the Family Stand turnstile, the Jimmy Frizzell Stand turnstile, and in the OAFC club shop.
We understand times are tough, but the generosity of Oldhamers has always shone through, despite our own limited resources. We and our partners are happy to receive presents of any size, shape, and price point.
From December 5 onwards, presents can then be dropped off direct with Claire Crossfield at Mahdlo on Egerton Street, and at Thrive Wellness on Yorkshire Street. This is an addition to the collection at Boundary Park on 11 Decdember.
