Warm-hearted Naseeb nominated for prestigious Pride of Britain award

Date published: 01 November 2022

An Oldham charity hero was nominated for a Pride of Britain Fundraiser of the Year prize.

Singing sensation Naseeb Abbas - otherwise known as Prince Naseeb - reached the 2022 regional finals ahead of hundreds of other hopefuls, before just missing out on the top prize.

Naseeb has kept up with his remarkable charity work throughout the course of this year while attending weddings up and down the country as a Nasheed Artist.

Just this week he has been in Pakistan, helping to oversee the charity work that is being conducted by Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, for whom he is an ambassador.

Naseeb, who is from Glodwick, began his remarkable charity journey in 2017 when he undertook his first deployment to Jordan with the Human Relief Foundation while working full time as a bus driver for First Manchester.

As a rising star in the music industry with a large following on social media, he started with a target of £10,000, which was quickly surpassed and totalled £113,521, which allowed him to hand-deliver aid to thousands of Syrian families living in tents in Jordan.

He dedicated much of his personal time to raise funds while volunteering with the Human Relief Foundation, before he started to volunteer with Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, one of Asia's biggest orphanages with a wider mission to help crisis-stricken communities in Pakistan.

Since beginning his charitable journey, Naseeb has become the voice of many disadvantaged and impoverished families in Pakistan, actively using his social media platforms to request his followers to donate generously.

To date he has raised approximately £4,000,000, which is a remarkable achievement.

The money he has raised has helped provide many families with food packs, which include items of necessity allowing them to cook hot meals for a month.

He has provided homes for the victims of the 2019 earthquake in Pakistan and has also provided aid to the victims of other natural disasters, such as the cloud burst in Neelum Valley in 2021.

The funds that he has raised have also gone towards providing wheelchairs for the disabled, sewing machines for the single mothers and clean drinking water for many poor people in Pakistan.

Naseeb has impacted and changed the lives of thousands of people through the work that he has done in the charity sector over the last five years.

He has not only raised the funds, but has undertaken deployments to hand deliver aid in countries such as Bangladesh, Jordan, Pakistan and Yemen.
