New author Sian Pearce with baby daughter Kassandra
Local mum Sian Pearce was so inspired by cherished moments with her new-born baby Kassandra, she wrote and published TWO adorable children's books in just TEN days.
Sian, who studied for a psychology degree at Oldham Sixth Form College and then University Campus Oldham, now lives in Moston.
She is a new author, who has now published the books - 'What does a baby bird eat?' and 'The dinosaur that had no hobby' - which are available to buy on Amazon.
Being a new mum of a premature baby, she has self published her work while on maternity leave.
Sian told the Chronicle: "I had my little girl, Kassandra, funnily enough six weeks ago on my first wedding anniversary.
"She was four weeks premature.
"The inspiration to write came from having Kassandra.
"I'm an avid reader and I read often to my little girl.
"One evening when I was picking out a book to read to her before bed, I thought about the moments we share together when snuggled up reading a good book and how much I love doing that with her.
"So I wrote my first short book out of a passion to share those moments with other parents/young children, because for me there is nothing better than a good story."
Both of Sian's books are now available on Amazon, via the link here
Meanwhile, Sian will be doing a book reading at the baby book club in the Cake Kitchen in Uppermill next Friday (October 7) between 11am-12noon.
