Be yourself for mental health!
Date published: 18 September 2022
World Mental Health Day is on Monday, October 10
Local mental health charity Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind are encouraging businesses, organisations, community groups, schools and colleges to celebrate this World Mental Health Day, by wearing what YOU want to wear!
On the day, Monday, October 10, the charity is asking anyone able, to fundraise or make a small donation to TOG Mind to help their local work supporting children, young people, families and individual adults.
Jason Bromley, who looks after fundraising for the charity, said: “We know it’s a difficult time for many people right now so we wanted to create something people can have fun with.
"A bit like the non-uniform days many of us remember.
"Why not be yourself for mental health, pop a pound in a bucket or make a small donation online through our website?
"Every penny really does make a difference to people’s lives."
TOG Mind have continued to increase their support offers over the last 12 months, extending opening hours, recruiting more staff and volunteers and launching a brand-new support service in Tameside and Glossop for children, young people and families.
If you want to get involved on Monday, October 10, to help join the fight for mental health and support local, contact Jason at TOG Mind on 0161 330 9223, or register your interest by emailing: fundraising@togmind.org
