Little Miss Oldham Scarlett bids to win national title

A seven-year-old girl from Chadderton has reached the national finals of the prestigious Miss British Isles 2022 model competition.

Scarlett Simpson has already been crowned Little Miss Oldham 2022, and now she and her family are preparing to try and win the national prize at a plush event at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Chester this Sunday (September 11).

The judges, having looked through the huge number of entries that the competition attracts every year, have now selected approximately 30 finalists.

Scarlett's hobbies include dancing, singing and acting.

She attends Footlights in Failsworth with Miss Ferne four times a week, and really enjoys competition weekends.

Scarlett has also recently joined a new agency called Lauren Kelly Casting.

If she wins the title there are fantastic prizes for the winner, including:

£1,000 cash prize

At Sunday's national final, Scarlett will be up against finalists from across the British Isles including Ireland, Scotland, Wales and all throughout England.

She will be taking part in a catwalk show at the final, which is in front of the judges and audience, with the winner announced on the day.

Previous winners of Miss British Isles organised events have gone on to be signed by top modelling agencies, taken part in major TV shows and even appeared in a Bollywood film.

The Miss and Mr British Isles finals take place over three daysin September.

The Miss titles include: Little, Junior, Junior-Teen, Teen, Miss, Elegance and Classic.

There is also a Mr British Isles competition.
