Fire engines called to Abbey Hills Road takeaway blaze

Four fire engines were dispatched to Abbey Hills Road in Oldham after a fire broke out in a takeaway outlet.
The fire broke out at a premises on Abbey Hills Road at around 10.30am this morning (Tuesday).
The fire broke out in the kitchen of the property, a spokesperson from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
Crews were at the scene for around an hour and a half.
In a statement, a GMFRS spokesperson said: "At around 10:30am this morning (Tuesday 6 September) we received a report of a fire at a commercial premises on Abbey Hills Road, Oldham.
"Four fire engines from Chadderton, Farnworth, Stalybridge and Mossley fire stations were quickly mobilised to the scene.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire, which involved the kitchen of the property, using a hose reel and other equipment."
