Bishop Meadows homes in Cowlishaw set to go on sale

Redrow has announced the launch of a collection of brand-new homes in Cowlishaw.

More than 200 homes will be launched at the new development named as Bishop Meadows, which will also include five acres of green space and its own orchard.

Located between Royton and Shaw, the 25-acre development will overlook a neighbouring golf course and provide natural and landscaped areas for homeowners to enjoy within its boundaries.

The development hasn't been without past controversy, however, and was only given final permission to be built on a former abattoir site in January despite councillors’ criticism that the design of affordable homes was ‘ugly’ and ‘absolutely dreadful’.

Homes at Bishop Meadows, located off Cocker Mill Lane, will go on sale on Saturday (June 25).

“Located close to amenities and set within picturesque open green space, we know this is going to be a very popular development,” said Sian Pitt, sales director at Redrow Lancashire.

“Our sales team will be on hand to talk to potential purchasers at Bishop Meadows during our launch weekend, with full details of the homes available, the development and the surrounding area.”

All the new homes will hail from Redrow’s Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection, in a range of three to five-bedroom designs from 1,081 sq ft to 1,855 sq ft.

Properties available include The Chester which boasts an open plan kitchen/diner, utility and family area that spreads across the back of the property, as well as a separate lounge, cloakroom and integral garage.

Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, an ensuite to the main bedroom and a family bathroom.

Prices for this property start from £459,995.

The Hampstead is a five-bedroom property with yet again an ample living area including a spacious kitchen/dining and family area, separate lounge, cloakroom and integral garage.

Two of the five double bedrooms have their own ensuite, while a family bathroom completes the first floor.
