Local business LDM have made it their mission to give back to their local community, at a time when they are needed the most.
LDM UK, a marketing business founded over ten years ago, is on a mission to give back in any way they can.
The business, which started by helping local companies market themselves and grow, now works with local and national businesses all over the UK and has offices both locally and in London.
When the pandemic hit, Managing Director Rob Henry and the team at LDM immediately knew they needed to help in any way that they could.
Rob said: “When Covid struck, like many other businesses we felt the impact, but it’s also changed our mindset completely as a business.
"We were struck with this feeling that we needed to do more to help.”
LDM started by offering delivery of food and essential items to the vulnerable who were shielding and collecting and donating items to be distributed for those in need.
“From then on, myself and the team decided that we wanted to give back more,” Rob said.
“We supported our local charities with fundraising, we donated Christmas presents to young people who otherwise would not have had any, and we offered leaflet distributions free of charge to help certain causes."
More recently LDM have also donated funds to the Ukrainian relief appeal for every campaign they had booked in, in the months of March and April, as well as other members of the team fundraising for the homeless, supported by LDM.
Further to this, LDM have committed to planting 250 trees for every one million leaflets they deliver in order to be environmentally friendly, as well as offsetting all their carbon emissions.
Sean Thomas, LDM’s second director, added: “We’re looking ahead now at what we can do to help those affected by the cost-of-living increase.
"We’re hearing about and seeing poverty increasing, families struggling to cope.
"We’re not the biggest business in the world but we want to help.
"Those who can help, need to do so.
"We’d love to partner with any other businesses who want to work with us on our mission to give back, to together make a difference."
