Oldham "sprinkled with magic" for JD Sports Christmas ad

Curzon Street as featured in the Christmas ad
JD Sports new Christmas ad features a host of celebrity cameos, but the star of the advert... is Oldham.
Scenes for the ad were shot on Albion Street, Curzon Street and Henshaw Street and the town centre, and CGI is used to transform some of the shops and landmarks.
Maya Jama appears as a dog groomer, along with Michael Dapaah as they run a dog salon together (Jama & Dapaah); Aitch and Shaybo are seen serving up Jamaican patties in Jerk & Dumplings next door.
If you've not already spotted, all the 'magical' shops contain JD branding.
The festive advert also features some of England's brightest football stars including Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ebe Eze, Kalvin Phillips, Leah Williamson and Jadon Sancho.
Rappers Central Cee and Russ Millions are on the hunt for Christmas mince pies at the 'Juicy & Delicious' grocery store.
CGI was used to create Christmas lights along Albion Street and Curzon Street and shop fronts were transformed into bright JD themed stores.
Positive Cycles in Tommyfield Market Hall became 'Jumped up Dreams' and a bus stop was built in front of Royal Amusements for some of the celebrity cameos.
One cheeky discrepancy - the JD Sports store is seen opening onto the street, wheras in reality, the Oldham store is on the lower mall at The Spindles.
