Thirty-five tractors made a poignant journey across the hills of Saddleworth on a fundraising mission in memory of a popular local farmer.
The Saddleworth Tractor Group convoy weaved a route across villages in honour of Delph farmer Steve Alderson, who died earlier this year.
The tractors assembled at Dr Kershaw's Hospice then headed to Meltham, with a halt at the David Brown Tractor Museum, before making a rendezvous at Dobcross Band and Social Club, a favourite of Steve's, for a bbq and raffle for the charity.
From vintage to brand new, the groups happily showcased their tractors at their second rally in aid of Dr Kershaw’s.
Saddleworth Tractor Group member, Sue Hollingworth, said: “We were looking forward to coming together again for the first time in almost two years to raise money for a worthwhile, local charity, in memory of our good friend, Steve.
“Our rallies are a great way of getting the community together to raise money for local charities.
"It’s a good day out and fun too, and it was good seeing the community come out to support us on the day.”
