A brave mother from Lees is continuing her desperate battle to raise £50,000 towards life-saving cancer treatment.
Former Saddleworth School pupil Johannah Aynsley has been living with Stage 4 ovarian cancer for three years, after receiving the 'terrifying' diagnosis in 2018.
Johannah has a wonderful, loving, funny six-year-old daughter, Willow, and there is so much more of this life that she wants to live and share with her.
To that end, Johanna has set up a GoFundMe page in a bid to raise money to pay for treatment, and already she has gathered well over £20,000 of her £50,000 target.
On her GoFundMe page, Johannah said: "Over the last three three years, following my terrifying diagnosis, my poor body has undergone 12 months of chemotherapy and multiple operations, but I have now come to realise that I have been treating the symptoms of cancer and not the cause.
"As a mother hoping, praying to spend many more happy times with my daughter, I am appealing for the opportunity of living so that we can enjoy this and so much more.
"The treatment I seek is not available on our beloved NHS.
"It is, however, available at a small number of specialist clinics abroad.
"These organisations are pushing the boundaries around how we understand, treat and heal cancer.
"Dentritic Cell Therapy sits within what the scientific community refer to as the future of cancer treatments (immunotherapies) and it exists alongside other immunotherapy options already available in the NHS.
"It is compatible with conventional maintenance treatments and there are no health risks.
"Without this treatment, conventional chemotherapy is no longer an option available to me, so the clock is ticking and I need your help to heal this disease.
"If I were afforded the luxury of this incredible treatment I would wish to share my experience with you, not only as a cancer patient but as a woman and a mother.
"I know that this is a big ask but you can take part in this journey by following me and helping me be a pioneer for future cancer patients."
