Oldham police have vowed to keep fighting drug dealing after a man was arrested in St Mary's over the weekend before being released while an investigation continues.

A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "Whilst on patrol last night (Saturday) PC Dunne and Inspector Prescott from the St Mary’s Neighbourhood policing team stopped a 20-year-old in his car on St Stephens Street.

"He was arrested for possession with intent to supply cannabis and has been released under investigation whilst an investigation takes place.

"We will not tolerate drug dealing on our streets and will do our best to tackle it with your support."
