Local author on track for another best-seller
Date published: 11 May 2020
Milnrow-based author Tania Taylor
At a time when the news headlines are dominated by death rates and days are full of Zoom meetings – for both work and leisure – an author collective is hoping to provide consumers with a bit of escapism with a collection of whimsical stories.
From a humorous account of a day in lockdown in ‘A Day in the Life of an Outdoor Cat’ by Lauren Raybould, to an exhilarating thriller of mums on the run in ‘The Call’ by locally-based Tania Taylor, all genres and tastes are catered for.
Organiser Jen Parker, founder and CEO of Fuzzy Flamingo, an editorial and design house, donated her services to this project to provide people with some positivity during these troubling times.
She said: “I donated over £1,000-worth of my publishing services for this project and I couldn’t be happier!
"I wanted to do something to help, and I’ve always found reading books to be the best form of escapism.
"I wanted to offer readers the same with this anthology – so put a call out for contributions just over a month ago.
"Twenty-two women, ranging from the age of 11 to the retired, have written short stories of a range of genres for this anthology.
"They have been wonderful to work with and I can’t wait to share their writing,”
A Milnrow-based full time clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, author Tania Taylor had two number one bestsellers with ‘Rise of the Mumpreneur’ and ‘Sparkling Moments, 30 Days of Amazing’ last year.
‘The Call’ book is being released by Amazon today (Monday), for both Kindle and in paperback.
