A family-run business has made a generous donation to an appeal by a team of community champions supporting the NHS.
Andy Wild, managing director of Wilds of Oldham Ltd, was a former member of Saddleworth Round Table.
The business is one of the region’s premier wholesalers and was established by Andy's grandfather in 1994.
Andy saw Round Table’s Just Giving campaign and wanted to help.
He is pictured, above left, presenting Mike Procter from Saddleworth Round Table with an initial donation of 20 boxes of crisps – all destined for the ICU Dept at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Andy said: “I had seen the campaign Saddleworth Round Table is running to help our NHS staff at Oldham hospital.
“As a former member of Round Table, I wanted to help so contacted a number of suppliers who have kindly started to donated food and drinks.
“It is great to see Round Table thriving again with over 30 members and doing what they do best – having fun and helping our local community.”
Round Table is open to all young men aged 18-45.
