Dr Kershaw’s has launched two new virtual Easter Competitions to help families beat the isolation blues.
The Hospice, based on Turf Lane in Royton, has been busy creating free online activities that families can do together, to help keep themselves busy whilst they follow government guidelines to stay at home.
The Hospice’s latest offering is Easter-themed and features competitions for little ones to get involved in from the comfort of their own homes.
The first virtual competition is based on the Hospice’s ‘bunny hop’ which was set to take place this week, sponsored by Little Owl Farm in Grains Bar.
The Hospice is asking families to download and print out their ‘bunny ears’ available on their social media sites and colour them in.
Then in the spirit of Easter, parents and guardians are then invited to organise their own ‘bunny hop’ in their outdoor space for children to take part in whilst they wear their newly-created bunny ears!
To enter the Hospice’s free competition and win a post-lock down ‘Family Ticket for 4’ to Little Owl Farm, entrants will need to take a picture of the children wearing their bunny ears and email or direct message the team on any of the Hospice’s social media pages.
In addition to its ‘bunny hop’ competition, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is also launching their very own virtual Easter egg competition.
Featuring artwork created by Hospice supporter Darren Buckley, children are invited to get colouring and get counting the eggs in the free downloadable Easter scene.
Parents and Guardians are then asked to take pictures of their little ones with their completed colourful masterpieces and send them into the Hospice via email: fundrasing@drkh.org.uk or via direct message on one of the Hospice’s social media sites to be entered into the prize draw to win a splendid hamper full of treats which will be delivered post lockdown.
As part of the Hospice’s newly-launched campaign, ‘Supporting Our Community - Dr Kershaw’s Cares’, fundraisers at the Hospice will be posting activities for all the family to enjoy across their social media channels and on the Hospice website including; fun activities, cleaning tips, and recipes too.
The activities are free for all to enjoy, however, if people do wish to donate and help to support the Hospice they do so safe in the knowledge that they will be helping towards the care of the patients and families within the borough.
All downloadable information is available from the Hospice’s Facebook page and is also available on request by email at: fundraising@drkh.org.uk
