Oldham Business Awards 2020 - finalists announced

The 2020 Oldham Business Awards category nominees have been announced.

Despite the ongoing Coronavirus crisis the Business Awards organisers have shown a great determination to press on, later this year.

The glitzy awards night had been pencilled in to take place on Friday, May 15 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, but like all events this has now been postponed.

An alternative date will be announced in the not-too-distant future.

Dayna Patterson, Vice Chair of the Oldham Business Awards Steering Group, said: “Due to the developing situation with the Coronavirus we have cancelled the finalist event due to be held at Innovative Technology and have unveiled this year’s finalists online using the OBA Twitter (@OldhamBA) and Facebook accounts (oldhambusinessawards).

"It's not the finalist event we had planned, but hopefully it will spread a little bit of joy in the Oldham business community.”

Richard Eastwood, Partner at Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, the headline sponsor of the 2020 awards, said: “In this current climate as businesses are fighting to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, it is vital we all support each other, at this time more than ever the ethos of the Oldham Business Awards is relevant.

"Look after your staff, be a responsible employer and keep your clients informed, when we come through this we will all celebrate our businesses more than ever.
